Want to make a difference but not sure how YOU can help? The Global Development Fund is an attempt to crowdsource worldwide change. All donations that we receive will be invested wisely, and donors will then get to vote to decide on which charity will receive the profits!
By pooling money from many individuals we believe greater change can be achieved than from any one person's single contribution. The 10, 20, or even 50 dollars you give today can theoretically be doing good 40 or 50 years from now, if not forever.
We can achieve an average return of 12% a year on just $1000 after expenses and fees. Half of that money then goes back into the fund, and half goes to charity. Every year donors will get to vote on where the money should go, with your vote being proportional to how much you have given.
In just 12 years the amount of money we give to charity should double, and that's if we start with a tiny seed of only $1000. Should the project fuel over 100%, all additional money will just go back into the fund.
The following information should also be noted:
1. RocketHub is not an investment or charity. It is an exchange: funds from fans for rewards from me.
2. It's an All & More funding mechanism: if I don't reach my financial goal I get to keep what I raise. But if I do reach my goal, I get access to exciting opportunities.
3. The Management Company deducts a management fee and performance fee directly from the fund's assets. The management fee, which includes the custodian fee, is annually 2.0% of the fund’s net asset value. The Performance fee is no more than 20% of the Fund’s return. The performance fee is calculated monthly by comparing the value of the fund on the last banking day of the month to the value of the last banking day of the previous month. The 20% is calculated from the net profit (profit after all costs) as long as the fund’s NAV is above its high water mark. Management and performance fees are taken into account in the fund’s return and will not be charged separately.
